Getting Started

What is this program all about?

It’s your first step toward a career in the construction trades! We combine hands-on training, safety certifications, job readiness, social emotional training focused on change, and real-world job connections to get you ready for an apprenticeship or entry-level work.

Who can join?

Anyone 18 or older, can pass a drug test, and has or is in the process of obtaining a Driver’s License.  We are looking for individuals who are ready to learn, work hard, and explore a career in construction. No prior experience needed!

How much does it cost?

There’s no tuition! Boots and jeans are required. Steel toe boots are NOT required.

What will I learn?

From safety training like OSHA-30 to hands-on tool skills and tips for landing a job, you’ll get the foundation you need to succeed in the trades.

How long is the program?

10 weeks of Monday–Friday 7AM-2PM (some days will go until about 4PM, students will be given advance notice) training that blends classroom learning with hands-on practice.

Will I get a job after?

We can’t promise a job, but we work closely with local unions, contractors, and employers to connect our graduates with great opportunities. Participants are expected to take initiative in this area. This program does not guarantee direct placement into jobs or unions.

Do I need to bring anything?

Just yourself, a good attitude, and a willingness to learn. We’ll guide you through the rest.

Who can I talk to for more info?
